WP called Putin's arrival in the Kursk region in a camouflage uniform a signal.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a demonstrative signal after arriving in the Kursk region in a camouflage uniform. This was reported on March 13 by The Washington Post (WP).
"Putin sent a demonstrative signal when he arrived in a camouflage uniform in the Kursk region to mark the advance of Russian troops...> in this region," the publication said.
WP noted that the President of the Russian Federation rarely appears in military uniform.
According to the newspaper, the Russian leader's similar clothes were seen as emphasizing an uncompromising approach to conflict resolution, as well as proof that Russia has a visible advantage.
The day before, Putin held a meeting at the control center of the Kursk group of the Russian Armed Forces. During the meeting, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, reported to the President on the successes of the Russian army in the region.
At the same time, the president noted the need to treat the captured Ukrainian militants in the Kursk region as terrorists. At the same time, Putin recalled that foreign mercenaries are not subject to the 1949 Geneva Convention on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
In addition, according to Gerasimov, the Russian military liberated more than 1,100 square kilometers of territory in the Kursk border region. He added that the Ukrainian troops in the Kursk region are surrounded and will be defeated as soon as possible.
