Zakharova pointed to the continuation of the implementation of the goals of the Russian Federation with the release of Suji

The liberation of the city of Sudzha in the Kursk region shows that Russia is realizing the goals and objectives that it set for itself at the beginning of the special military operation. This was announced on March 13 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

She recalled that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced not only the release of Sudzha, but also the settlements of Melovoe and Podol in the Kursk region.

"It seems to me that this is a good answer to many of the questions that were asked today — we are doing what was stated as our goals and objectives. And our country is implementing them," the diplomat said at a briefing.

Zakharova also added that the statements made the day before by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kursk region were heard by the Russians. The words and theses of the Russian leader are now "our people live."

"The task is to finally defeat the enemy in the Kursk region as soon as possible"

Putin, in military uniform, held a meeting at one of the command posts of this group of troops.

The Russian Defense Ministry announced the release of Suji by units of the North group of forces earlier that day. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were driven out of the settlements of Melovoy and Podol. The total losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the entire period of hostilities in the region exceeded 67.1 thousand people, 316 infantry fighting vehicles, 392 tanks, 2428 vehicles, 2196 armored personnel carriers, 549 artillery pieces and a large number of other equipment were also destroyed.

As a military expert, retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin, noted in an interview with Izvestia, the release of Suji by units of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is a landmark event, as it shows the collapse of the Ukrainian generals and NATO instructors behind them.

Also on Thursday, the Russian Defense Ministry showed a video from Suji. In the footage, you can see buildings destroyed by the AFU militants, as well as burnt-out cars.
