A resident of Krasnoyarsk stole elite alcohol for 82 thousand rubles.

A resident of Krasnoyarsk will appear in court on charges of a series of thefts of luxury alcohol from stores. He stole 82 thousand rubles worth of alcoholic beverages, the press service of the regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on Thursday, March 13.

Since the beginning of July 2024, the police have been receiving messages from representatives of various chain stores. The applicants reported missing bottles of expensive alcohol. All of them pointed to an unknown person who was stealing goods from the shelves.

Law enforcement officers managed to detain the suspect. He turned out to be a resident of the regional center, born in 1989, who had been repeatedly convicted of property crimes. His involvement in 11 thefts has been established.

According to the man, he went into stores and took alcohol from the shelves while no one was watching. The attacker hid the stolen items under his jacket or in his pants and walked past the cash register without paying.

A criminal case was opened against the Krasnoyarsk citizen under parts 1 and 2 of Article 158 "Theft". He faces up to five years in prison, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.
