The number of luxury car brands on the market has decreased in Russia

The number of luxury car brands in the Russian market has decreased. Last year there were six of them, but since the beginning of the year 2025 there have been only four. This was reported on March 13 by the analytical agency Autostat.

So, in January and February, not a single new Maserati or Aston Martin car was sold in Russia. By the end of February, Rolls-Royce became the most popular luxury brand with 11 cars sold. Next in the brand rating, with the same result, are the Bentley and Lamborghini brands (7 units each), and three new Ferraris were also sold during the month.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan leads the model ranking (7 units), followed by the Lamborghini Urus (6 units), and the third place was shared by the Bentley Bentayga and Rolls-Royce Spectre (4 units each).

In total, 28 new Luxury cars were sold in Russia by the end of February. This is exactly the same as in the last winter month of 2024. At the same time, February market volumes in the segment were 28% lower than in January, when 39 new such machines were sold. In the first two months of this year, 67 new luxury cars were sold in Russia (+17.5% YoY).

Earlier in the day, it was reported that in February 2025, prices for used cars at car dealers in Russia increased by 8% compared to January. The average price for a used car reached 2.12 million rubles.

March 10, Director of Development and Sales of Avto.<url> Business Daniil Shkurygin explained that one of the main reasons for the decline in new car sales in Russia this winter was the high interest rates on loans. In addition, banks have new responsibilities to create reserves in case of possible risks associated with non-fulfillment of loan obligations by borrowers.
