In March, Russians will face a mysterious and frightening astronomical event — the spring eclipse corridor. Astrologers believe that this is a time of change and upheaval, as well as personal growth, getting rid of bad habits and life-poisoning relationships. Read about when the March eclipse corridor opens and how dangerous it is in the Izvestia article.

The March 2025 eclipse Corridor: what it is, dates

The eclipse corridor is the time period between solar and lunar eclipses. Usually these phenomena follow each other with an interval of about two weeks. In March 2025, the eclipse corridor will last from the 14th to the 29th.

An eclipse is an astronomical event during which one celestial body obscures the light from another. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth is placed between the Moon and the Sun, causing the planet's shadow to fall on the surface of the satellite. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, blocking the light of a star.

The proximity of the two eclipses is due to the peculiarities of the Moon's movement around our planet. The fact is that the orbit of the Earth's satellite is inclined to the ecliptic (the plane of the Earth's orbit) by about 5 degrees. Because of this, the Moon and the Earth appear on the same line relative to the Sun only when the planes of the two orbits intersect at the lunar nodes. Accordingly, an eclipse occurs at this time.

At the same time, astronomers note, if one of the eclipses occurred (solar or lunar), there is a high probability that in two weeks the Moon will have time to reach the next node of its orbit before it leaves the Earth—Sun line, so eclipses often "go in pairs."

What is the danger of the eclipse corridor and how does it affect humans?

From the point of view of scientists, the eclipse corridor is a common astronomical phenomenon that does not affect people's daily lives in any way. However, astrologers attach special importance to it.

Since time immemorial, eclipses have been considered harbingers of misfortunes, catastrophes and revolutions, so a short break between two such events is often perceived as a dangerous and stressful time.

Modern astrologers note the dual nature of the eclipse corridor. On the one hand, during this period, the likelihood of conflicts, injuries, accidents and accidents increases. On the other hand, it is a time of personal growth, reassessment of life goals and guidelines, getting rid of unnecessary things, bad habits and toxic relationships.

During the eclipse corridor, people may experience anxiety, mood swings, and a sudden surge of enthusiasm or apathy. It is also believed that at this time, so—called karmic events occur - situations that directly affect a person's fate. They can be both positive and negative, so astrologers recommend accepting the gifts of fate with gratitude and not giving up in case of failures, because trials are an integral part of development.

The eclipse corridor on March 14-29, 2025: what can and should be done

The 2025 Spring Eclipse Corridor will open on March 14 with the lunar eclipse, which is also called the Blood Moon. During the event, the Earth's satellite will be located in the constellation Virgo. This sign is responsible for daily activities, household and health. Therefore, astrologers believe, it will be useful to put things in order, not only in the apartment, but also in thoughts, habits, relationships, and plans for the future.

During the eclipse corridor, it is worth conducting an audit in closets, storerooms, garages and balconies. Most likely, there will be old things there, getting rid of which will help free up space. To organize your thoughts, you can use various psychological and spiritual practices — meditation, breathing exercises, keeping a diary, mental body scanning, etc.

In the period between two eclipses, intuition sharpens and the ability to assimilate information increases, so intellectual activity on these days will be the most fruitful. You can engage in creative work, enroll in courses, read professional literature and start writing scientific papers — the result will exceed all expectations.

In addition, astrologers note that during the entire eclipse corridor it is important to take care of your health: to fight bad habits, observe sleep patterns, and exercise. People suffering from chronic diseases should undergo additional examinations and not skip taking the necessary medications.

What not to do during the eclipse corridor

Astrologers note that the spring corridor of eclipses has a powerful energy that can awaken in a person the desire for leadership and global change. It also encourages us to look for answers to questions related to self-determination: who am I? What do I want in the future? Am I going in the right direction? All this encourages you to look for new opportunities, but it also carries a lot of risk, because mistakes can be expensive.

During the period of the eclipse corridor, astrologers recommend not to make impulsive decisions, especially in the financial sphere. It is better to postpone large transactions and purchases for a quieter time.

It is not forbidden to start new business during the eclipse corridor, but you need to do it with caution. The project launched at this time is highly likely to be of a long-term nature, but it can develop chaotically and unpredictably, so priority should be given to cases that were completed before the start of the eclipse corridor.

In communication, astrologers advise to adhere to the same principle as in business. It is worth being careful with new acquaintances and not slashing off the shoulder in case of conflict with old friends. Romantic relationships during the eclipse corridor can be complicated by conflicts, but if they can be overcome, love will only become stronger.

How often is there an eclipse corridor

Most often, there are only two corridors of eclipses during the year. However, sometimes their number can reach four. In 2025, Earth's inhabitants will have to experience two corridors of eclipses: in spring (March 14 — lunar, March 29 — solar) and in autumn (September 7 — solar, September 21 — lunar).

Solar eclipse in March 2025: what date, at what time and where to watch

The spring eclipse corridor on March 29 will close a partial (incomplete) solar eclipse in the constellation Pisces. Unlike the Blood Moon, which will be almost invisible in Russia, all residents of our country will be able to watch this event.

The Earth's satellite will pass between the planet and the Sun from 11:15 to 15:44 Moscow time. The eclipse will reach its peak by about 14:30 Moscow time. Residents of the northern regions of Russia, in particular the Murmansk region, will get the best overview. There, the Moon will cover the solar disk by almost half: the maximum phase of the eclipse will reach a value of 0.43 (an eclipse of 1.00 and above is considered complete). In St. Petersburg, the peak phase of the eclipse will be 0.23, and in Moscow — 0.07.

A partial solar eclipse will also be visible in the northeastern parts of Europe and North America, as well as in the northwestern regions of Africa.

Earlier, Izvestia reported on the features of the February parade of planets.
