The territories that became part of the Russian Federation are its regions according to the Constitution of Russia. This was announced on March 13 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Crimea, Sevastopol, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk, Lugansk are regions of the Russian Federation. They are written down in the Constitution of the Russian Federation. It's a given," he said.
