The Supreme Court approved the recovery of 358.7 billion rubles from the "crab king" Khan

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has approved a decision to recover 358.7 billion rubles from the fisherman Oleg Kan, known as the "crab king". This was confirmed on March 13 by data published in the file on the website of the Arbitration Court.

The Prosecutor General's Office's lawsuit clarifies that this decision is related to the damage caused by the Rodnye Ostrov regional foundation and 18 individual defendants, including Kahn.

It is noted that the cassation complaints of 17 defendants have no basis for consideration by the judicial board on economic disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.

"To refuse to transfer the cassation complaints of the defendants for consideration at a court session of the judicial board for economic Disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation," the statement says.

In addition, Moneron, Sevrybflot, Aquamarine and Priboy-T companies became state property.

Earlier, in July last year, it became known from the bailiff database and other documents that Kahn had debts of 336 billion rubles, which they wanted to recover. At the same time, in May of the same year, it was reported that the defense of the "crab king" Khan appealed the verdict in the murder case. According to investigators, in 2010, Kang ordered the murder of businessman Valery Pydenko, who was allegedly involved in an attempt on his life. The victim was also engaged in fishing.

Before that, in April, Oleg Kan was sentenced to 17 years in prison for organizing a murder in Vladivostok. The convict escaped from the investigation and is on the international wanted list. The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for him in absentia. It was established that illegal business had been conducted in the region for more than 10 years. Kang himself fled Russia to Japan after an investigation into his illegal business was published in the media.
