In the Chelyabinsk region, a woman was arrested in the case of poisoning her son with drugs

A criminal case has been opened in the Chelyabinsk Region over the murder of a 31-year-old mother of a two-year-old child. It is noted that the child died as a result of poisoning with a narcotic mixture. This was reported on March 13 in the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.

"The woman intentionally injected narcotic drugs with a syringe into her son's body in order to calm him down and get rid of his periodic screams," the department's Telegram channel reported.

According to this fact, a criminal case has been opened in the investigative department against the mother under paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder of a minor"). The court, at the request of the investigator, chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Currently, investigative and procedural actions are continuing to establish the circumstances of the crime, as well as the causes and conditions that contributed to the incident.

The Investigative Committee added that the woman has three other young children, whose living conditions and upbringing, as well as the activities of the prevention system, will be given a proper legal assessment in the framework of another criminal case initiated on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code ("Negligence resulting in the death of a person").

The suspect in the case is the babies' father.

Earlier, on March 8, employees of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region found and interrogated the mother of a newborn child left on a bench in the cold in Nizhny Tagil. It is specified that on March 4, a child was found near one of the entrances in Nizhny Tagil, and he was taken to the hospital. A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 3 of art. 30, art. 106 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted murder of a newborn").
