An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 was recorded off the coast of Taiwan. This was announced on March 13 on the website of the Seismological Center of China.
It is specified that the epicenter of the earthquake was registered at a depth of 15 km near Taitung County to the south-east of the coast of the island. According to the center, the seismic event began at 13:09 local time (08.09 Moscow time).

On March 12, an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 occurred in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 km. No possible casualties or damage were reported.
