- Sobyanin spoke about the construction of a tunnel at the MSD site in the south of Moscow.

Construction of a tunnel has begun in the capital on the section of the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD) at the intersection with Bakinskaya Street. Its length is 58 meters, inside there will be three lanes in one direction, the mayor of the city, Sergei Sobyanin, said in his official Telegram channel.
Drilling is currently underway, and the tunnel walls are being prepared. To minimize inconveniences for motorists, it is being built in an open way, with sequential traffic switching.
The new tunnel is part of the second stage of construction of the road network on the section from Kaspiyskaya Street to Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway. There will also be two flyovers-an exit from Lipetsk Street onto the main course of the MSD towards Kashirskoye Highway and MKAD, two flyovers-an exit from Kaspiyskaya onto the main course of the MSD towards MKAD and the center, and an overpass-an exit from the main course of the MSD from MKAD to Kaspiyskaya.
As a result, an additional route will be created in the southern direction of the Moscow Railway from Kashirskoye Highway to Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway. This will increase the efficiency of the diameter itself, improve the transport accessibility of the five districts of the city and make access to the M-4 Don highway more comfortable.
