About 100 residents of the border areas of the Kursk region, who were considered missing, were found in the town of Sudzha and nearby villages. This was announced on March 13 by Yuri Mezinov, assistant to the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

He clarified that 90% of the evacuees are people from the missing persons lists.

"That is, these families will now find their loved ones, imagine, these are all, not knowing or seeing anything for more than six months. And now, imagine what a holiday it is," RIA Novosti quotes Mesinov as saying.

On February 1, it was reported that the authorities of the Kursk region were compiling a general list of missing residents of the region who could not be contacted by their relatives. The document contains a triple duplication of records. After the reconciliation, more than 2 thousand citizens remained.
