The State Duma (DG) has prepared three legislative initiatives aimed at improving control over the activities of foreign agents. Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma, told about this on March 13 in the Telegram channel.

"It is proposed: to recognize as foreign agents persons who: assist in the execution of decisions of international organizations in which our country does not participate, such as, for example, the International Criminal Court," wrote Volodin.

He added that it is also proposed to recognize as foreign agents persons who assist foreign government agencies in activities directed against Russia's security. This will also affect people who involve citizens in collecting information in the field of military-technical activities of the country.

In addition, for negative actions towards Russia, a trial will be provided without the participation of the person involved. It is also proposed to introduce criminal liability for up to 5 years and with confiscation of property for discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and calls for sanctions.

"The adoption of the draft laws will help protect our country and its citizens from interference from unfriendly states," Volodin added.

On March 5, the State Duma approved in the first reading a bill that proposes to completely ban foreign agents from educating Russian citizens. It was noted that foreign agents would not be able to engage in education or education, regardless of the age of the trainees.
