The calculation of the Molniya-2 UAV destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces combat vehicle in the Sudzhansky district

The calculation of the Molniya-2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Airborne artillery unit hit and destroyed an armored combat vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. This was announced on February 13 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that immediately after receiving the exact coordinates of the enemy, the calculations moved to a combat position. The operator aimed the drone at the target and, despite the operation of the Ukrainian electronic warfare (EW) systems, hit the car.

"The initial task of the brigade is counter—battery warfare, using guns, mortars, self-propelled guns, as well as personnel and UAV crews. Basically, for all purposes," said a senior UAV operator with the call sign Kuzbass.

The structure of the Molniya-2 drone allows it to reach a higher speed and fly away with a more powerful payload. Its purpose is to support assault units on the line of contact.

The destruction of infrastructure seriously undermines the work of the enemy's military-industrial complex, experts believe.

On March 12, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that an army aviation crew on a Mi-35M helicopter destroyed manpower and a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the border area of the Kursk region. The ministry clarified that the pilots performed tasks to support units of the North group of forces.
