In the regions, there is a shortage of the drug Orgalutran, which is prescribed for the treatment of infertility, doctors told Izvestia.
"We are seeing a shortage of the drug," said Lyubov Vinogradova, General Director of the Skaifert Reproduction Clinic, obstetrician—gynecologist and reproductologist.
She also noted that he has alternative medicines. According to her, the lack of the drug is critical for patients, as it is used in many protocols of assisted reproductive technologies.
Maria Milyutina, MD Group's reproductologist, also pointed out the shortage of the drug. She added that pharmacies are actively using the drug shortage, setting inflated prices for it.
"Pharmacies know that, if necessary, people are ready to give an amount that exceeds the real amount by 10 times or more, and they actively use it," the doctor emphasized.
Izvestia found out that Orgalutran is not available in every region.
