The Ministry of Industry and Trade proposed to introduce labeling of sports nutrition from September 1

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade plans to gradually introduce mandatory labeling of sports nutrition starting from September 1, 2025. The relevant resolution was published on March 12 on the federal portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

As noted in the department, technological solutions that can be used in labeling sports nutrition are already used for mandatory labeling of biologically active food additives that have similar types of consumer packaging.

At the same time, the Ministry of Industry and Trade continued, most of the participants who work with sports nutrition have been "in the loop of mandatory labeling of biologically active additives" since October 1, 2023, because they know the specifics of the labeling information system.

On the same day, it became known that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia plans to introduce mandatory labeling of radio electronics, including for smartphones and laptops, as well as for some lighting devices, starting from September 1, 2025. This initiative provides for the transition of manufacturers of these products, as well as importers, to mandatory labeling.
