Finland has ruled out sending military personnel to Ukraine

Finland will not send its military personnel to the territory of Ukraine. This was announced on March 12 by the Prime Minister of the Scandinavian country, Petteri Orpo, in a statement on European security and the government's policy towards the European Union (EU).
"We are ready to provide assistance in any way that suits us, but we will not send military personnel to Ukraine," he said during a speech in parliament, which was broadcast on the website.
Orpo also noted that he sees danger in the decision to send Finnish soldiers to participate in the Ukrainian conflict.
The National Interest magazine reported on March 4 that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer intends to send troops to Ukraine to apply the fifth article of the NATO Charter, according to which the remaining members of the alliance will be obliged to intervene in the conflict. According to journalists, this is how the British prime minister wants to involve the United States in the Ukrainian crisis.
In turn, military expert Alexei Leonkov, in an interview with Izvestia on March 5, said that the United States would not support Britain if London decided to send troops to Ukraine, and Russia would strike at them.
