Serbia has withdrawn its vote for an anti-Russian resolution at the United Nations (UN) on Ukraine. Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said this in an interview with NIN magazine on March 12.

"The Serbian mission to the United Nations has changed its vote at the UN General Assembly on the Ukrainian resolution," Djuric said.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on February 25 that the country's representatives voted for the adoption of this document by mistake, and apologized to the citizens, admitting his guilt in the incident.

"I think Serbia made a mistake today. <...> Serbia should have abstained. I have no one to blame but myself, as I did not pay enough attention to this issue," Vucic said.

Earlier, on February 25, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow was impressed by the prompt reaction of the Serbian president, who apologized for Belgrade's support of the UN anti-Russian resolution.

On February 24, the UN General Assembly adopted an anti-Russian resolution on Ukraine. The draft was supported by 93 countries, 18 states voted against the adoption, 65 countries abstained from voting.
