The victims of the explosion in a house in Tobolsk are in extremely serious condition.

The condition of two victims of a gas explosion in a private house in Tobolsk is assessed as extremely serious. This is reported by the Department of Health of the Tyumen region.

"Two patients were hospitalized in the specialized department of the regional hospital No. 3 (Tobolsk). Condition: extremely serious," the message says.

According to preliminary data, a woman and a child were injured. The ambulance received a call at 17:36 local time (15:36 Moscow time), the crews arrived at the scene three minutes later. After examining the injured and providing first aid, the doctors transported two people to the hospital.

A gas explosion occurred on Wednesday, March 12, at 17:33 local time (15:33 Moscow time) in a private house in Roshchinsky Lane, 33. As a result, the building collapsed, the structures caught fire. At 18:57 (16:57 Moscow time), information about the localization of a fire on an area of 100 square meters appeared on the Telegram channel of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The Information Center of the government of the Tyumen region reports that frames and windows have been blown out in nearby apartment buildings. The head of Tobolsk, Pyotr Vagin, informed about the assessment of damage, including in the five-storey building on Oktyabrskaya Street, 62, located opposite the exploded house. The press secretary of the mayor, in turn, told the news agency " <url>" that no one from the nearby houses had sought medical help.

During the liquidation of the consequences of the emergency, Oktyabrskaya Street from Radishchev Street to Roshchinsky Lane was blocked. A detour is possible through Znamenskiy and Doronin streets. Meanwhile, the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of fire safety requirements").
