The Parliament of Belarus declared its readiness for contacts with the United States

The Parliament of Belarus is ready for contacts with the United States, Oleg Gaidukevich, deputy chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the Parliament of Belarus, told Izvestia.
"There will be no such [refusal] from contacts with any senator, for example, if he wants to talk to our deputies. Me, we'll always talk. We are ready to discuss any issue in our national interests," he said.
Belarus' contacts with the United States and the West as a whole have never ended, Gaidukevich stressed.
Earlier, on March 4, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructed the government to search for rare earth metals in the republic. He pointed out that this is a topical issue, and recalled that US President Donald Trump is involved in the issue of mining rare earth metals, but Belarusian officials have not yet dealt with this. Lukashenko stressed that this type of minerals is not found in large numbers, and it is necessary to find out how many of them there are in the republic.
