It became known about the testing of QR code payment in Turkey

Sber is testing a technology for paying for purchases in Turkey through its mobile application using QR codes. This was reported by the press service of Sberbank.

The feature will be available in the SberBank Online app at the end of March. According to Sberbank, it will be possible to pay for services and purchases using a QR code in shopping malls, cafes, restaurants and other points where the appropriate equipment is installed. The possibility of making a payment via a QR code can be clarified with the sellers or waiters.

Turkey remains one of the most sought-after tourist destinations among Russians. According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), in 2024, the flow of Russian tourists to this country increased by 6.3%, amounting to 6.7 million visits.

Earlier, Sber successfully implemented QR code payment in Belarus and Tajikistan.
