Mishustin stated the importance of investments in the field of AI for technological sovereignty

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on March 12 that in order to achieve the country's technological sovereignty, it is necessary to invest in artificial intelligence (AI) research.

"Investments in artificial intelligence research are a very important step towards achieving technological sovereignty," he said during a meeting with deputies of the New People faction.

According to him, the federal budget provides financing for the implementation of measures in this area, largely thanks to the representatives of the faction.

Andrey Varivoda, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DEACON Group, told Izvestia on February 14 that AI is becoming an integral part of Russian healthcare, transforming traditional approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. He recalled that, according to the information provided by the Ministry of Healthcare for 2024, more than 200 medical organizations in the country have already implemented various AI solutions.
