The Russian military spoke about the difficulties in carrying out Operation Trumpet

The main difficulty of Operation Truba, as a result of which the Russian military managed to penetrate deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) The town of Sudzhi, Kursk region, turned out to have a large throwing distance. This was announced to Izvestia on March 12 by the commander of the Akhmat special forces communications unit with the call sign Timso.

"In conditions with low oxygen content, in conditions with harmful, toxic substances, for example, in the atmosphere of a pipe, in conditions when you cannot stand up to your full height, but only 1.40 m, when you are in an ideal circle, too. Even if you need to outrun someone, it's quite problematic, and it's completely dark. This task becomes a hundredfold, two hundred times more difficult than an ordinary 15 km walk," he said.

According to him, the unit had to carry supplies of water and food to survive. He noted that the soldiers went into the unknown, not knowing what awaits them in the end. At the same time, the commander stressed that the soldiers bravely went to fulfill it, calling it an honor.

According to Izvestia correspondent Sergei Prudnikov, when entering the pipe, the tunnel seems endless, even with the lamp turned off, you can navigate it solely by sound.

A fighter of the Akhmat special forces Timso group with the call sign Fox shared that the first entrance to the pipeline was followed by underground passages 500 m long underground, with different depressions from one meter to four. He also showed the transport that carried out the delivery of everything necessary — water, food, ammunition.

At the same time, a military man with the call sign Fox clarified that in order to successfully carry out the operation, the soldiers left things to make it easier to move.

An operation in the Kursk region to introduce the Russian military into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Sudzhi was announced on March 10. To do this, the military overcame about 15 km of the pipeline.

The operation involved soldiers of the combined assault squad, which was formed from soldiers of the 11th Guards Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, the 30th Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division, the Akhmat detachment, and volunteers of the Veterans assault brigade.

The actions of the attack aircraft contributed to the breakthrough of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the disruption of the defense management system of the Ukrainian army along the entire line of combat contact with the enemy in the region. Thanks to this, it was possible to liberate over eight settlements. As a result, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces raised the Russian flag at the administration of Suji.
