Gunmen who attacked a train in the Pakistani province of Balochistan killed at least 50 hostages. This was reported on March 12 by the Reuters news agency, citing the Balochistan Liberation Army separatist group, which claimed responsibility for the attack.
It is specified that there were more than 400 passengers on the train. According to Pakistani officials, 190 hostages have now been released, the agency added.
Terrorists hijacked a train in Balochistan province a day earlier, on March 11. As reported by the British newspaper Daily Mail, the militants took passengers hostage and also wounded the driver.
The Pakistani security forces reported that due to the presence of civilians among the captured people, the rescue operation is being conducted with extreme caution. According to security officials, the terrorists are using hostages as human shields.
