The commander of the Akhmat told about the flight of the Ukrainian Armed Forces militants from the Kursk region

The militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are fleeing from the Kursk region. On March 12, Izvestia was informed about this by the commander of the Akhmat special forces unit with the call sign Aid.

"At the moment, they (the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters. — Ed.) mostly running. Snapping back is hopelessness, because you can't go back, you can't go to the flank, you can't wait for help. Someone is trying to snap back, standing up to the last. The number of prisoners is in the hundreds. A lot of people give up," said the commander of the Akhmat special forces unit.

Hades also said that the Russian fighters are ready to continue moving forward to create a sanitary zone. Now there are still levers of resistance, but the enemy is being "demolished". The commander also suggested that the operation could be completed in a few days.

According to him, Ukrainian militants immediately launched concrete plants in Sudzha after the invasion. The Russian military did not carry out the assault, as the enemy's defenses were destroyed from the inside. At the moment, the Ukrainian militants are abandoning their equipment. There has never been such a lightning advance at the front in previous years, Hades added.

For the first time since the Great Patriotic War, the unit was named after the places of its battles.

On March 10, it was reported that an operation was underway in the Kursk region to introduce the Russian military into the depth of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Sudzha. To do this, they overcame about 15 km of pipeline.

The operation involved soldiers of the combined assault squad, which was formed from soldiers of the 11th Guards Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, the 30th Regiment of the 72nd Motorized Rifle Division, the Akhmat detachment, and volunteers of the Veterans assault brigade.

The actions of the attack aircraft contributed to the breakthrough of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the disruption of the defense management system of the Ukrainian army along the entire line of combat contact with the enemy in the region. Thanks to this, it was possible to liberate over eight settlements. As a result, the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces raised the Russian flag at the administration of Suji.
