Rules for ordering a taxi will change at Moscow airports

In the territories of the airports of the Moscow region, a ban will be imposed on the offer of passenger taxi transportation services if there are no counters for ordering them. This is stated in the decree of the government of the Moscow region, which is available to Izvestia. The ban will come into force in March.
According to the document, the offer or registration of passenger or baggage transportation services by passenger taxi on the territory of airports in the Moscow region should be carried out only at taxi ordering desks by carriers, taxi drivers or ordering services in accordance with the requirements of Federal Law No. 580-FZ.
"The Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure of the Moscow Region, within one month from the date of the official publication of this resolution, will develop and approve requirements for the equipment and registration of a passenger taxi booking desk at the airport in the Moscow Region," the text of the resolution says.
On March 10, experts from the HSE Institute of Transport Economics and Transport Policy said that the federal state budget would lose about 350 billion rubles over three years if the taxi localization requirement came into force. The draft law on the introduction of requirements for the localization of taxi cars is being discussed in the State Duma. It was adopted in the first reading last year, and is now being prepared for the second reading. The introduction of such requirements will become an additional protection for the taxi transportation industry, Maxim Sokolov, head of AvtoVAZ, said earlier.
On February 21, during a press conference at the Izvestia News Center on "Major changes in the taxi market," Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Artyom Kiryanov said that the cost of a taxi ride next year could increase by 15-20%.
