When choosing an object for purchase, Russians most often prefer small apartments. Analysts of the NDV Real Estate Supermarket company, together with the construction and investment corporation Development-Yug, conducted a study on the market of apartments with a small area in million-plus cities and identified apartments with the lowest cost per square meter. The results were reviewed by Izvestia on March 12.

The most budget-friendly studio option is for sale in Rostov-on-Don. The apartment is almost 30 sq. m. An apartment without decoration in a business class house will cost the buyer 3.7 million rubles. The complex is located within walking distance to Rostov State University of Railways, the largest educational, scientific and cultural complex in the North Caucasus region.

In Novosibirsk, which took the second position, a studio apartment with a more impressive area of 34.5 square meters, worth 4 million rubles, is for sale. The apartment is for rent without finishing. The house is located a few hundred meters from Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University.

For 4.3 million you can buy a studio in Volgograd. The area of this studio is 35 sq. m. The residential complex is located near Volgograd State Agrarian University, one of the largest agricultural universities in Russia, which was founded in 1944. The university is the center of agricultural science of the Lower Volga region and an innovative cluster for the creation and practical implementation of scientific developments in production.

Within 4.5 million rubles, you can buy a studio in Ufa, the capital of Bashkiria. The residential complex, located in close proximity to the main university of the republic, BASHGU, is planned to be commissioned in 2027. The studio area is 27.2 sq. m.
