In Russia, sales of cars of the South Korean brand KGM, which was formerly called SsangYong, have begun. This was announced by the press service of Rex Motors, the distributor of the brand's cars.
The compact crossover KGM Tivoli costs from 3.59 million rubles. The larger Korando and Torres — from 4.39 million and 5.15 million rubles, respectively. The Rexton frame SUV will cost at least 6.79 million rubles. All models are produced in South Korea, and five-year support in the Russian market is promised.
Rex Motors plans to start assembling KGM machines at the Avtotor plant in the Kaliningrad region. The start of car production is scheduled for autumn 2025.
SsangYong cars have been sold in Russia since the mid-1990s, and the brand officially left the market in 2018. The company's return to Russia was announced in early November 2024.
Earlier that day, it was reported that Lada Vesta cars with a new six-speed manual transmission began to appear in car dealerships. Dealers in St. Petersburg are already handing out cars to customers.
