Rolling millers are among the most sought-after professions in Russia. The demand for these employees has tripled in a year, according to the results of a study on the Avito Work platform, which was reviewed by Izvestia on March 13.

Specialists responsible for processing metal products can expect an average salary of 90,880 rubles per month.

Employees of the agro—industrial sector became no less in demand - they began to look for vegetable growers three times (+203%) more actively than last winter. The average salary offered this winter was 109,006 rubles per month.

Among other industrial professions with the largest increase in vacancies, there are specialists responsible for the final processing of products. Thus, since the winter of 2023-2024, the demand for polishers has increased 2.9 times (+189%), and for grinders — 2.5 times (+146%). Applicants for the position of a grinder are offered an average of 78,515 rubles per month, and for candidates for the position of a grinder, the average salary offers reach 113,455 rubles.

"At the same time as the demand for specialists is growing, the average salary offers are also increasing. Thus, planners have become leaders in the growth of salaries indicated in vacancies. The average salary offers for specialists processing metal or wooden workpieces increased by 36% and reached 111,708 rubles per month," the experts of the platform noted.

In addition, the profession of a grinder also entered the top three in terms of salary growth — in winter, new employees were offered income 35% more than a year earlier (113,455 rubles). They also increased the salaries offered to applicants for agricultural workers by 35% (69,254 rubles).

Earlier, on January 15, it was reported that one in three Russians surveyed (28%) planned to change jobs in 2025. This was mentioned in the results of the study of the Russian School of Management. Among the most common reasons for such a decision are low wages (47% of respondents answered this way), lack of opportunities for professional growth (45%), and lack of career prospects (39%).
