The director of the RANEPA branch was detained in Nizhny Novgorod in a case of bribery.

In Nizhny Novgorod, a criminal case on receiving a particularly large bribe was initiated against the director of the RANEPA branch. This was announced on March 12 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the Telegram channel.

"The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region, based on materials from the Federal Security Service of Russia for the region, have opened a criminal case against the director of the RANEPA branch in Nizhny Novgorod and other officials of the educational institution for accepting a bribe by an organized group on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the statement said.

The defendants have been detained.
