A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. It is noted that units of the "Southern" group of forces liberated the settlement of Novomarkovo in the Donetsk People's Republic, and units of the Vostok group of forces took control of the settlement of Dneproenergia in the Donetsk People's Republic.

"Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated the manpower and equipment of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the air defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Novodanilovka, Zaporizhia region, Antonovka, Chervony Mayak and Nikolskoye, Kherson region," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, air defense systems shot down three JDAM guided aerial bombs and a US-made HIMARS multiple launch rocket, as well as 91 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated military airfield infrastructure facilities, a transport vessel carrying ammunition, manufacturing workshops, storage and launch sites for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as concentrations of manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and foreign mercenaries in 152- Hmm," the agency added.

Since the beginning of the special military operation, 657 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 46,361 unmanned aerial vehicles, 600 anti-aircraft missile systems, 22,127 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,526 multiple rocket launchers, 22,508 field artillery and mortars, and 32,717 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
