Temperature record of 27 years ago was broken in Crimea

In Simferopol, on Tuesday, March 11, the thermometer rose to +20.5 degrees. Thus, an absolute temperature record has been set in Crimea since 1998.

IA SevastopolMedia, referring to the Crimean Hydrometeorological center, writes that it was the hottest March 11 in the last 27 years. The thermometer has increased by almost 1.5 degrees compared to the previous record.

Meanwhile, a storm warning continues to be in effect on the peninsula. Strong winds are expected in Crimea before the weekend, with gusts of up to 22 m/s.

It may get colder on Sunday due to the onset of the northeastern front. On Tuesday, March 18, a sharp deterioration in the weather is expected in Crimea.

Earlier, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo center, predicted precipitation in the form of rain in Moscow until the weekend. The specialist noted that the temperature in the city will be between +2 and +5 degrees until the end of the week. Precipitation in the city will continue until Saturday, although it will be very small and intermittent.
