A three-tier system of care for diabetics will be introduced in Transbaikalia

In 2025, a three-tier system of care for patients with diabetes mellitus will be developed in the Trans-Baikal Territory. First of all, it is planned to create a regional endocrinological center in the region.

As Elena Aranina, Deputy Minister of Health of the region, told at a meeting of the Committee on social policy of the regional legislative assembly, quoted by ChitaMedia news agency, all the equipment for the endocrinology center has already been received.

The second stage is the organization of two interdistrict endocrinology centers. The work is carried out within the framework of the national project and the federal project "Fight against diabetes mellitus". The bases where these centers will be created and equipped will be regional Clinical Hospital No. 4 in Krasnokamensk and Aginskaya CRH.

The third stage of providing care to patients with diabetes is the opening of endocrinology rooms. There are currently 12 such classrooms, and a total of 23 are planned.

Earlier it was reported that the Federal Antimonopoly Service agreed on prices for five essential and essential medicines included in the list. Among them are drugs for the treatment of diabetes, antitumor drugs. The ministry explained that this made it possible to reduce the prices of these drugs by an average of 19% of the average cost of their sale in 2024 and by an average of 141% of the minimum prices in the countries of reference for Russia.
