Sellers of substandard medicines detained in Moscow


Law enforcement officers have stopped the activities of sellers of substandard medicines operating in one of the pharmacies in Moscow. This was reported to Izvestia on March 12 in the main investigative department of the Investigative Committee (IC) in the capital.
It is clarified that individuals from among the employees and management of LLC "Leksfarm" planned the sale of drugs of inappropriate quality and distributed criminal roles among themselves. The attackers kept medicines in their possession for distribution with the aim of subsequent sale to customers in pharmacies in the city.
It was established that on June 14, 2023, eight syringes of the drug Orgalutran for 105,600 rubles and one package of the drug Ozempick for 18 thousand rubles were sold to fake buyers at the drugstore "Leksfarm". At the same time, it has been proven that these products can cause harm to life and health.
The violators were detained and interrogated, and charged with selling substandard medicines on a large scale by a group of people by prior agreement. Substandard and unregistered drugs in Russia, as well as mobile phones and about 17 million rubles were seized from pharmacies.
In particular, the criminal case under paragraph "a", part 2 of Article 238.1 ("Circulation of falsified, substandard and unregistered medicines") The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation has been initiated against Margarita Kabayeva, CEO of Lekar Fabricius LLC.
Earlier, on January 23, it was reported that law enforcement officers had stopped the activities of members of a criminal group who sold counterfeit medicines in pharmacies. It was clarified that in 2023, the defendants entered into a criminal conspiracy and purchased counterfeit drugs abroad, importing them to Russia.
