In Avdiivka, the central church of Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene, which was damaged during the fighting, continues to be restored. The footage is at the disposal of Izvestia.

As a result of months of bombing and shelling, domes were destroyed in the building, windows were blown out and the facade was damaged, said Izvestia correspondent Evgeny Bykovsky.

The territory of the temple was visited by NATO shells. At the moment, workers have installed the main dome and are continuing roofing and facade work.

"The temple has suffered significant damage since 2022: both the facade was broken and the glazing was damaged — a new one has now been installed," said Maxim Gritsaenko, head of the STN Group site.

It is planned to complete all repairs in May 2025.

Earlier, on October 31, the Church of St. Mary Magdalene was damaged in Avdiivka during shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The windows in the temple were blown out, and the facade was badly cut by shrapnel. One of the corners under the bell tower was smashed. Objects on the territory were also damaged.
