Vasily Mikhailovich would have turned 95 on March 14.
Vasily Peskov is an outstanding Soviet and Russian journalist, writer, traveler, presenter of the program "In the World of Animals", public figure, reformer of the domestic environmental sphere, initiator of the creation of the State Committee for Nature Conservation, Winner of the Lenin Prize for the book "Steps on Dew" Vasily Mikhailovich Peskov.
He was the first journalist on the planet to interview Yuri Gagarin after landing, the column "Window into Nature", which Vasily Mikhailovich invented and led for decades, is still published in the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, the book heritage is being republished to this day.
