- The State Duma declared the inadmissibility of deceiving Russia in negotiations on Ukraine

Russia will not allow itself to be deceived in the process of resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This was announced on March 11 by Mikhail Sheremet, a State Duma deputy from the Crimean region and a member of the security Committee.
"Russia is not interested in continuing the bloody conflict provoked by the West, but it will not allow itself to be led by the nose," he stressed in an interview with TASS.
Sheremet drew attention to the fact that "a few hours before the start of the discussion of peace initiatives," Kiev carried out a large-scale drone attack on Russian cities.
"From the outside, this massive terrorist air attack and the negotiations themselves look like links in a chain in an attempt to blackmail and intimidate our country," the MP said.
He added that Russia treats the negotiations on a ceasefire in Ukraine as a long-term process in order to achieve a sustainable, rather than short-term, peace in the interests of one of the parties. According to him, Moscow has always acted consistently, so "blackmail and intimidation are absolutely meaningless."
On March 11, US President Donald Trump announced that he intends to get Russian President Vladimir Putin's consent to a cease-fire in Ukraine. He stressed that he was going to have a conversation with the Russian leader this week. According to Trump, representatives of the countries will also meet on March 11 or 12 to discuss the Ukrainian conflict. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, in turn, admitted that contacts between Russia and the United States are possible in the next few days.
