Ships of the Russian Federation, Iran and China practiced the liberation of the captured vessel during the exercises.

Warships of Russia, Iran and China conducted an inspection and release of a ship seized by terrorists in the Gulf of Oman during the naval exercise "Maritime Security Belt - 2025". This was announced on March 12 by the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

It is specified that on the part of the Russian Federation, the corvettes "Sharp", "Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov", as well as the medium sea tanker "Pechenga" of the Pacific Fleet took part in the exercises.

During the exercises, the sailors had to search for the captured vessel using deck helicopters to assist in reconnaissance and pointing the ships' guns at the imaginary enemy. A Ka-27M naval aviation helicopter of the Russian Pacific Fleet was involved in each episode of the exercise.

In addition, the crews fired large-caliber machine guns and small arms at targets simulating unmanned boats and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of a simulated enemy for two days, day and night.

After the sailors successfully completed all the stages of the exercises, they were sent to the Iranian port of Chehbehar, where the results of the exercise and the closing ceremony will take place.

The international naval exercise "Maritime Security Belt 2025", organized by the Iranian side, is being held for the seventh time. It was first held in the waters of the Arabian Sea in 2018. This year, it involves about 15 ships, support vessels and combat boats, as well as helicopters of naval aviation.
