Two people were killed and four others injured in an accident in the Korsakov district near the 11th km of the Korsakov– Novikova highway in the Sakhalin Region. This was announced on March 12 by the press service of the regional state traffic inspectorate.

"According to preliminary data, the 27-year—old driver, not having the right to drive a vehicle, drove a Honda Fit car into the oncoming lane and collided with another Subaru car," the Telegram channel said.

As a result of the accident, two passengers of a Honda car died before the ambulance arrived. Two more passengers and the Honda driver, as well as the Subaru driver, suffered injuries of varying severity. All the injured were hospitalized in a medical facility.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
