The calculations of the Molniya-2 UAV destroyed the personnel and armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the Molniya-2 aircraft type of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Zapad group of forces destroyed the military personnel station and armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the special military operation (SVO) at night. This was announced on March 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry clarified that the calculations conducted daily combat duty, during which enemy targets were identified. After receiving the exact coordinates, the Russian military quickly prepared the drone for departure, equipped it and launched it towards enemy targets.

Despite the opposition of the Ukrainian electronic warfare system (EW) and air surveillance points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the drone was able to fly to the location and hit the targets.

"We are working on a Molniya-2 aircraft-type FPV. This is a good unmanned aircraft that carries a good combat load over fairly long distances. We worked on communication towers, enemy equipment such as infantry fighting vehicles, dugouts," said the operator of the Molniya-2 UAV with the call sign Miguel.

Calculations of this drone work around the clock, seven days a week and in all weather conditions. They can make several sorties in a day and destroy any targets. Due to its tactical and technical characteristics, the Molniya-2 drone is capable of striking at a greater distance than an FPV drone and carrying a warhead weighing about 6 kg. The plastic frame of the Zipper allows you to protect all necessary equipment from moisture and cover a distance of tens of kilometers, the department noted.

The new weapons are machine guns or submachine guns mounted on special turrets.

The day before, the Ministry of Defense reported that the calculations of the FPV drones of the Rubicon unmanned technology test center had destroyed the AFU equipment in the border area of the Kursk region. It is specified that enemy strongholds, drones, vehicles and armored vehicles were hit. The Armed Forces of Ukraine's manpower was also destroyed.
