The calculation of the 130-millimeter M-46 cannon of the Center group of forces destroyed a camouflaged command post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Alexandro-Kalinovsky direction of the special military operation zone (SVO) during a combat mission. This was announced on March 12 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Having received intelligence information with the coordinates of the targets, the gunners promptly prepared the gun for battle, aimed it at the target and began to carry out the combat mission. The fire was conducted from a closed firing position at a range of more than 15 km. The gunners fired a series of volleys with 130-millimeter high-explosive fragmentation shells, as a result of which they destroyed the identified enemy target.

The ministry clarified that data on the location of the enemy's point was received and transmitted to the gunners by the operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the group's reconnaissance unit.

"The main difficulty now is the weather. It is constantly changing. The validity period of the meteo is one hour: if the temperature does not change, then the pressure or wind speed may change," said squad commander Sergeant Maxim Saprykin.
