The political scientist called the suspension of arms supplies to Kiev pressure from the United States

Political scientist, retired lieutenant colonel of the American army Earl Rasmussen, in an interview with Izvestia, said that the suspension of US arms supplies to Ukraine is an instrument of pressure.

"Well, I think there is pressure from the United States with a pause in the supply of weapons and intelligence," he said.

According to the expert, such a decision by the United States is doubtful. He suggested that the American side probably has some problems with weapons, which could be the reason for delays in helping the Kiev regime.

In addition, Rasmussen drew attention to the fact that Russia is striving for a long-term and complete settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. At the same time, the expert clarified that he had no information about contacts between representatives of the United States and the Russian Federation.

Ukraine has expressed readiness for dialogue with the United States, but the Kiev regime remains self-barred from contacts with Moscow.

On March 11, White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, following talks with the Ukrainian delegation in Saudi Arabia, announced that the pause in the transfer of aid to Ukraine from the United States had been lifted. White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt, in turn, called the meeting of the delegations productive and described the news from Jeddah as positive. At the same time, it was reported that Ukraine, during negotiations with the United States in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, expressed its readiness for a 30-day ceasefire.
