Unrestrained attempts at sanctions have resulted in significant damage to the economy and industry of the countries that initiated anti-Russian measures, including Germany, the Russian Embassy in Berlin explained to Izvestia.

"The consequences of the destruction of mutually beneficial ties with our country in the form of the socio-economic crisis, inflation, bankruptcies and, as a result, a decrease in the level of well-being are felt by the vast majority of residents of Germany. Hardly anyone is happy about this," the diplomats say.

They note that the demand for normalization of Russian-German relations is steadily growing in German society.

"It is not for nothing that the parties responsible for carrying out this policy of the so-called "traffic light coalition" (Social Democrats, Free Democrats, Greens) suffered a painful defeat during the February elections to the Bundestag of Germany," the diplomatic mission stressed.

According to representatives of the embassy, anti-Russian actions in Germany have ceased to be widespread.

"They are really deflating. So, about 500 people came to the widely advertised and coordinated by the Berlin authorities "anti-war march", organized on March 1, 2025 by the leaders of local relocators. And not ideological like-minded people, but a diverse crowd working off Western grants. Ordinary Germans have long ceased to be interested in such gatherings," the diplomats added.
