The Yemeni Houthis will resume their attacks on Israeli merchant and military vessels in the Red and Arabian Seas, due to the expiration of the four-day ultimatum on humanitarian aid access to the Gaza Strip. This was announced on March 11 by Yahya Saria, a representative of the armed forces formed by the rebels.

"Due to the expiration of the deadline <...> given to intermediaries to put pressure on the Israeli enemy in order to open checkpoints and deliver [humanitarian] aid to the Gaza Strip, <...> the Yemeni armed forces confirm the resumption of the ban on the passage of all Israeli vessels," the representative said in a video message published on X (former. Twitter).

In addition, he added that every Israeli ship that is spotted in the designated area will be immediately attacked. According to the representative, this decision will remain in effect until the checkpoints in Gaza for the supply of humanitarian aid are opened.

The day before, the leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdel Malik al-Houthi, announced that the Yemeni Houthis were ready to resume attacks on Israeli ships on March 11, after the four-day ultimatum on humanitarian aid access to the Gaza Strip expired.

On March 2, it was reported that the IDF had suspended humanitarian aid in Gaza after Hamas refused to accept the US plan to continue negotiations. It was noted that such a decision was made by the government in coordination with the administration of the American President Donald Trump.
