The defeat of Dynamo secured the first place for Lokomotiv in the Western Conference.


Dynamo Moscow hockey Club (HC) lost to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) regular season match, thereby securing the first place for Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the Western Conference. The match took place on March 11 in Nizhnekamsk and ended with a score of 4:3.
Strikers Kirill Kapustin (11th and 43rd minutes), Nikita Khoruzhev (35th) and German Tochilkin (40th) scored for the hosts. Defenseman Anton Sizov (1st), as well as forwards Nikita Khoruzhev (35th) and German Tochilkin (40th) scored goals for the Moscow club.
Following the meeting, Dynamo is in second place in the Western Conference with 83 points. Neftekhimik, in turn, is on the ninth line of the Vostok conference with 59 points scored. In the next match, the capital's club will play away from Salavat Yulaev, and Nizhnekamsk will face the leading Lokomotiv.
On this day, Avangard scored its 12th consecutive victory in the KHL, defeating Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod with a score of 4:3. Following the results of the match, the Omsk hockey club scored 82 points and rose to third place in the Eastern Conference.
