The allergist gave tips on dealing with spring allergies

Alyona Bondarenko, an allergist from childhood, said that it is possible to overcome spring allergies with the help of nasal filters.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Tuesday, March 11, the specialist noted that allergy sufferers should have antihistamines with them during the spring allergy period.
Bondarenko said that in addition to symptomatic therapy, there is allergen-specific immunotherapy, when the body is "convinced" that a particular allergen is not an enemy and it is not necessary to react to its presence with inflammation.
"This is a pathogenetic allergy treatment. However, this method is not available to all allergens," the expert explained.
According to her, getting rid of the allergen is also an effective method of allergy treatment, which is also not always possible.
She advised using anti-dust screens on windows, installing air purifiers with hepofilters, and air-conditioning the room without opening windows. You can also use nasal filters.
At the first symptoms of allergy, she advised Bondarenko to consult a doctor.
Earlier on March 11, Svetlana Malinovskaya, a rehabilitologist at the Vidnovskaya Clinical Hospital, reported that the season of plant pollen allergy had already begun in Moscow due to the warm weather. For example, it can be apples, carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, cherries, plums, RT clarifies.
On the same day, pediatrician Alexander Karasev warned that there are more allergy sufferers in cities than in rural areas. According to him, the risk of allergic reactions is higher in families where detergents are used too actively, notes 360.ru . Unjustified use of antibiotics also contributes to the development of the disease. The doctor added that children who took 6-7 courses of antibiotics have the highest risk of developing allergies and other autoimmune diseases, RIAMO notes.
On March 4, Natalia Ilyina, First Vice President and General Director of the Russian Association of Allergologists and Clinical Immunologists (RAAKI), stated in the Izvestia News Center that a quarter of the Russian population has an allergic disease.
