Pensioner gave 4.9 million rubles to fraudsters in Tula

The police in Tula are conducting an investigation into fraud, the victim of which was an 85-year-old woman. The pensioner lost more than 4.9 million rubles.

According to the victim, she received a call from a stranger who introduced himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring. He convinced the woman that she needed to take measures to protect her savings. The pensioner agreed to transfer all the money to an outside account, TSN24 writes.

Over the past day, five residents of the Tula region have become victims of fraudsters. In total, they lost more than 8.2 million rubles.

In Tyumen, a pensioner gave 11 million rubles to fraudsters within a month. The attackers introduced themselves as employees of Rosfinmonitoring and offered to transfer money to a "secure" account. A criminal case has been opened.
