British police have detained a suspect in the case of a ship collision.


A 59-year-old man was arrested and charged with negligent manslaughter in connection with the collision of two ships in the North Sea on March 10. This is reported by the BBC with reference to the Humberside police.
"The arrest occurred after the completion of a search operation by Her Majesty's Coast Guard to search for a missing crew member of the Solong vessel," the newspaper said.
Currently, the man remains in custody. The police are continuing to communicate with all those involved in order to establish all the circumstances of the incident. The identity of the detainee has not been disclosed.
