Four Soviet military leaders will appear in the game "World of Tanks".

The World of Tanks game will feature four Soviet military leaders dedicated to Victory Day, said the operational director of the World of Tanks project (Lesta Games Group of companies). Boris Sinitsky.

According to him, a number of thematic activities have been prepared for the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, and the first of them is the "Path to Victory" Combat pass.

"In this Combat Pass, we talk about four famous military leaders, marshals of victory: Konstantin Rokossovsky, Yakov Fedorenko, Pavel Rotmistrov and Mikhail Katukov. Our task was not only to tell, but also to show how the famous commanders looked during the end of the war: faces, uniforms, awards," he said.

For the game, the experts reviewed the available photos of each of the heroes with orders and medals on their uniforms. The researchers turned to the funds of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, clarified information about the awards of Soviet military leaders from primary sources, and studied the literature on uniformology and phaleristics in the Russian State Library and other book repositories. They also examined the exposition of the Museum of Russian Military History and examined the newsreel of generals and marshals in the Russian State Archive of Film and Photographic Documents.

"Over the next three months, our players will enjoy special themed gaming events dedicated to the great Victory Day holiday: special missions that will immerse them in the atmosphere of the war years; exclusive awards symbolizing bravery and courage; historical references that introduce little—known facts.
