There are ways to ensure Ukraine's security after the cease-fire, in addition to sending a peacekeeping contingent to the country. This was stated on March 11 by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte during a press conference during his visit to Pristina.

"It is good that France and Great Britain have taken the initiative that when the truce in Ukraine is concluded, the issue of security guarantees will arise. One possible way is to send European ground forces to Ukraine, but there are other ways to do this," Rutte said, his speech was broadcast on the NATO YouTube channel.

The NATO Secretary General also quoted US President Donald Trump, saying that peace has not yet been achieved.

Earlier, on March 11, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak, announced the impossibility of achieving peace with the Russian Federation through negotiations. Andrei Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council's International Affairs Committee, suggested in an interview with Izvestia that Ukraine believes this because it does not want to prevent conflict in order to preserve power.
