- A former policeman shot down a Ukrainian drone with a shotgun during an attack on the Moscow region

During a massive drone attack in the Moscow region, former policeman Alexander shot down one of the drones with a shotgun to prevent the drone from flying towards the city. Alexander told about it on March 11 in an interview with Izvestia.
According to Alexander, he was at his dacha when he heard a noise in the sky, took a gun and started shooting at drones, fearing for the safety of his family.
"One flew by, I didn't have time to shoot it. I had only four rounds of buckshot <...>Missed the second one. First of all, the drones were flying over the village, and I tried to put them in the field. As a result, I managed to shoot down the third drone — a shot and an explosion immediately," he said.
Fragments of the fallen drone, he said, damaged the fence.
The man also stated that his police training and experience with weapons helped to make an accurate shot at night. He noted that he acted instinctively, thinking about protecting civilians.
On March 11, the Air Defense Forces destroyed 337 Ukrainian UAVs over the regions, 91 of which were over the territory of the Moscow Region. The Ministry of Health reported that as a result of a massive attack in the Moscow region, 18 people were injured, including three children, and two more died.
A criminal case has been opened into this attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces under paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act").
In turn, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, linked the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces drones to the irritation of Kiev and London from the renewed dialogue between Russia and the West.
